Dispelling the mystery with FAQs

Video doesn't have to be intimidating or complicated.

What is it like to be on set?

Fun! Mostly. A lot of work, and a lot of focus—but we really do try and make it the best day everyone there has had all week. It’s important to us that everyone working concentrates on serving the client and the project’s needs while staying smooth and collected—so we can all do our best work!

I’m “crew,” what should I wear?

All black. And a smile. :)

I’m “talent,” what should I wear?

No big logos. No small patterns. Other than that, whatever is best for the project at-hand! We always communicate as much as possible about these kinds of things before a shoot.

How long does the whole “nose-to-tail” thing take?

It depends, of course, but we pride ourselves on working within the restraints we are given. More time is always nice, but it’s not always realistic. In cases where we don't have as much time, we know how to prioritize the necessities first to get things done on time. Our goal is to meet every need of the project.

Do you travel?

We love to travel. It’s a big art of why we do this kind of work. We often find a way to have our whole production van on-location so that we can be at our most capable anywhere in the country. We have shot in mountains, swamps, beaches, cities, small towns, and internationally. Bring it.

What does it all cost?

Our minimum budget for a project is typically around $5k. Beyond that, it really just depends on how long we need to shoot for, travel costs, editing time, and any outside costs or extra crew that is necessary to make your vision come to life. We always have something to offer small budgets, and we truly make larger budgets worth the price tag.

What do I need to get started?

If you have ideas, scripts, references, etc. bring them! We have no ego. If you’ve got nothing but a desire to engage your audience/customers—no problem. Nothing gets us more excited than to hear, “This is what we want to accomplish - how can you help us do that?”

If I want to work with you on a project, what’s the first thing I need to do to?

Knowing your budget is a huge step not only for us, but for you. We will work with what you have, but that is always the first step in knowing what our limitations will be. If you’re not sure, we will help you figure out what kind of investment makes the most sense for you!

What’s it like to work with you?

We do not take it lightly when a brand asks us to partner with them, and as a result we work very hard to make their lives easier than they were before. Ask any of our clients and they will say that when you work with us, we genuinely become a part of your team. We wouldn't have it any other way as we have not only built many great long-lasting partnerships over the years doing this, but we’ve also formed some incredible friendships along the way. When you’re here—you're family. Too much?

What’s with all of these discovery meetings? Can’t we just make a video?

Making videos is a lot like painting a house. You would never pick out a can at random at the hardware store, walk in your house, open it up and start rubbing it on the walls with your hand. A discovery meeting is where we assess all the needs you have so that we can build our entire strategy moving forward to meet them.

What should we be doing to make real connections and build a fanbase?

Show people what your brand can do for them! Tell the stories of the people you’ve helped achieve what they want and watch those engagements skyrocket. People are coming to you to solve a problem, a great way to prove you can help them is to show them how you’ve done it for someone they can relate to.
